Satellite Internet - Contention Ratio |

| |
A Contention Ratio (written as 10:1, 20:1, 400:1) refers to the number of subscribers that are sharing the same sized connection channel at the same time. Many satellite providers have contention ratios that are in the stratosphere, sometimes approaching 400 to 1, making the service often unusable. Always ask for what the typical speeds are if you are shopping providers. Ground Control's posted contention ratios are real, so trust that you get what you pay for with us.
