The administration screen of the Galileo gateway will give a wealth of information about the current status of the satellite connection. This information will be helpful in configuring and correctly pointing the satellite system.

Type in the IP address of the Gateway. You can find this on the work order.
Make sure that your proxy settings have been configured correctly.

Type in your login credentials from the Work Order.
From the screen that appears, click on "Faults" on the left side to bring up this page:

Make sure everything is green, enable,d and good. If not, you may need to check your cables, reboot the IDU, or your computer. It will take the IDU about 90 seconds to full boot.

The green status light on the IDU will be off when it does not have the forward channel, blink while establishing communication, and be solid when the modem is locked and ready.

Select "performance" from the bar on the left side of the administration screen.

You should see this screen. Try refreshing the screen once or twice before taking readings, just to make sure that the values are stable. They should be as follows:
Rx Eb/N0 should be above 8.0 dB.
Less than 8.0 indicates poor antenna alignment, while 0.0 indicates the wrong satellite, a failed LNB, or a damaged cable.
Rx Power should be between -20 and -55 dBm.
Link Status: should be less than 500 to the LEFT of the colon. This is the number of errors. The number on the right is unimportant unless it is steadily escalating, which would indicate a malfunctioning satellite card in the modem itself.
