Galileo Software Installation

Back at the Installation Wizard... Simply click on Next.
The below screen will appear
Double check that the Work Order and the above screen are accurate.
Click on Next to advance to the window below.
NOTE - If hardware on Work Order does not match Hardware on hand, contact Ground Control. Model Numbers are on the hardware and should be compared to verify that the you have the correct equipment.
Click on "Next" to advance to the below screen.
You will be using your GPS handheld device to give you the site latitude
and longitude. If you're in North America, you will use "N" for Latitude
for North of the Equator and W for Longitude for the Western Hemisphere.
Cable Length is the cable distance between the satellite dish and the indoor router.
Click on next to advance to the screen below.
Your Authorization Key and Installer ID are found on the
Ground Control Work Order. Click on Next to advance to
the next screen below.
The Center Frequency, Symbol Rate and Code Rate values are found on the Ground Control Work Order. Click on Next to advance to the screen below.

The system automatically configures satellite communication parameters which
should take no more than 2 minutes.
RX Eb/No should be above 8.0 dB minimum. 10.0 is Optimum.
Less
than 8.0 indicates poor dish alignment or dish diameter less than
1.2m.
Rx Power should be in the range of -20 to -55 dBm as measured
on a clear sky day.
-42 dBm is optimal.
Less
than -55 dBm indicates a 20 dB line amplifier needs to be installed
on the RX cable. (you may install this after the satellite router
has been configured).
Viterbi Errors should be less than 500.

This is a measurement of how noisy the channel is.
* More than
500 can indicate poor dish alignment.
Current Status shows...
current status. If this never becomes "OK" please recheck thelatitude and longitude settings for accuracy. You will want
to use a handheld GPS device for accuracy in your position.
Forward Channel Acquired (Normally takes less than 5 seconds). The system has not perfomend ranging yet as shown.
Radio Communication completes in. Check to see that listed parameters are above minium standards.

Click on "Commit" to complete the software configuration of your system.
You may use the "Test Only" option for testing the equipment at an installer or dealer site before installing at a customer's site.
WARNING - NEVER "Commit" the installation more than once, and always at the installation location.
When you are ready, click on "Next" to advance to the below screen.
