Direcway 4.0.3.9 Service Pack C Overview

Service Pack C includes all of the latest enhancements for DIRECWAY
software version 4.0.3.9. Service Pack C helps improve the performance
of your DIRECWAY system. By fine-tuning some DIRECWAY parameters,
Service Pack C enables the system to perform better during stressful
situations such as inclement weather or interference from other devices.


In addition, Service Pack C includes all previous Service Pack releases.
So, whether or not you downloaded Service Pack A and Service Pack B
with the DIRECWAY Web Accelerator, you'll be able to install Service
Pack C and improve your DIRECWAY service without missing a beat.

***You must be a Two-Way user and you must enable your browser proxy
to benefit from Service Pack C.

• DIRECWAY Two-Way user running DIRECWAY software version 4.0.3.9.If you are running an older version, please upgrade to DIRECWAY 4.0.3.9 before downloading Service Pack C.
• Internet Explorer 5.0 or Higher
• Browser proxy enabled

Installation Instructions

1. Close all applications prior to downloading Service Pack C.
2. Click on “Download Now” at the bottom of this page to begin downloading DAK403_P14.exe.
3. Save to a known location on your local drive, usually C:\.
4. Disconnect the power from your IRU (Satellite Receive Adapter) (from the power adapter or wall). Once you have disconnected power, the following Diagnostic Box will appear stating that the satellite receiver (IRU) has been removed. (see Figure 1)

5. Navigate to the stored file on your local drive.
6. Double click on DAK403_P14.exe.
7. Click Start Installation (see Figure 2).

8. During installation you will notice that the Satellite Receive Modem failed to restart. This is normal. This message appears because the Satellite Receive Modem has been disconnected (see Figure 3).

9. When prompted, click "Close" to close the "Service Pack Installer" dialog box.
10. Once the PC reboots and Windows is fully loaded, plug the power back into the IRU.
11. The drivers will load and Navigator (the DW icon) will load in system tray. This may take up to 30 seconds.
12. To verify that DIRECWAY 4.0.3.9 Service Pack C has been installed on your system, Right-click on the Navigator (DW icon) in the Windows system tray and Select "About".
13. Click "System Information". Under General Information, Service Pack DAK403_P14 will be displayed along with date and time stamp that the installation completed successfully.
14. Launch a Browser and verify that you are able to browse.
15. Go to the Browsers LAN settings and verify that the Proxy is enabled.
