The Explorer 700 is tied for the fasted BGAN terminal (with the Hughes 9201) and delivers speeds up to 492 Kbps in both directions. The BGAN 700 has an integrated Wireless Access Point (802.11 "A", "B", "G") so any wireless computer or device within range can connect. Like the Explorer 300 and 500, there are two kinds of phones, a wired handset and a wireless bluetooth phone ( shown on left). The 700 is small enough to fit in a large laptop case.

	The video above shows a typical setup and use of a BGAN Explorer 700 system on a remote island in the middle of nowhere.

The Controller is attached to the 700 antenna with one of two included cables. One short 0.4 Meter cable is for keeping the controller with the antenna, and the other allows the controller to be placed up to 10 Meters away, such as inside of a building.		The controller Interface includes (from right to left) DC input, an I/O interface, DC out, Phone port (RJ-11), FAX port (RJ-11) LAN Port 1 (RJ-45), LAN port 2, ISDN port 1, ISDN port 2.

The display screen on the Explorer Controller shows the signal strength for pointing, as well as many other options.		The Explorer 700 has a rubber handle for easy carrying.

There is a built-in onboard compass on top.		The Explorer 700 is capable of fitting inside of a large laptop case.

Each Explorer 700 comes with the terminal antenna, the controller, software & manuals, a power supply with European and U.S. power adapter, USB cable, Ethernet Cable, and two antenna cables for long or short span between the controller and the antenna.		There is a slot on the back of the Explorer 700 antenna to fit a wireless bluetooth phone. The phone is not included with purchase.

The system is self-contained for a run time up to 36 hours on standby, or 1.5 hours (on one battery) if transmitting continuously.		There are web conferencing solutions that are made for the BGAN system. This suitcase has build-in encryptions for the highest security.

		The 700 may have the controller separated from the antenna portion, which itself can be mounted outside on a pole mount kit (call pole mount kit pricing).

The 2 wire Explorer phone may be used, but any standard phone can easily be used with the Explorer 700.		The Bluetooth wireless phone is charged in with a portable cradle.
