RockFLEET Assured

SKU: FP-RF-APNT

RockFLEET Assured is a marine-grade A-PNT system that helps vessel operators compare GNSS position data with an independent position source based on Iridium PNT. It gives bridge crews and shore teams clearer visibility of vessel position, integrity events and GNSS disruption.

Key Capabilities

RockFLEET Assured combines independent positioning, onboard awareness and shore-side reporting in a single maritime A-PNT system.

Designed for vessel deployment

A compact above-deck terminal supports remote configuration, Bluetooth commissioning, flexible reporting and optional bridge integration.

Chartplotter View for Bridge Crews

Onboard, RockFLEET Assured can show assured position alongside GNSS position and track, giving bridge teams a clear way to identify divergence during suspected jamming or spoofing.

Integrity status, alerts and event information can be displayed locally, helping crew understand when GNSS data can no longer be treated as reliable.

Cloudloop for Fleet Managers

Ashore, Cloudloop Tracking gives fleet teams a centralized view of vessel position, route history and integrity events across one vessel or a wider fleet.

Live tracking, geofence alerts and historical track review help teams monitor disruption as it happens, investigate incidents afterwards and support operational reporting.

How it Works

RockFLEET Assured continuously compares conventional GNSS-derived position data with an independently derived position based on Iridium PNT.

When the two sources remain aligned, position reporting continues as normal. When they diverge, the system can generate integrity warnings, alerts and event records for bridge crews and shore-side teams.

Why Iridium PNT Matters

RockFLEET Assured is powered by Iridium PNT, an alternative positioning, navigation and timing source delivered over the Iridium satellite constellation. Iridium PNT uses powerful LEO satellite signals and authentication techniques to provide a trusted position source when GNSS data is degraded, denied or unreliable.

Stronger signal

Iridium PNT signals are significantly stronger than GNSS/GPS signals, making them harder to overwhelm in GNSS-challenged environments.

Independent of GNSS

The system provides a separate position reference, rather than depending only on GNSS correction, filtering or protection.

Authenticated position source

Signal authentication helps support a more trusted source of time and position.

Private position reporting

Position and integrity data can be reported to authorized operators without relying on public broadcast systems such as AIS.

RockFLEET Assured FAQs

How does the system work?

The system uses GNSS whenever the signal is valid and continuously cross-checks the data with Iridium PNT. It detects anomalies such as spoofing or jamming, flags events, and alerts users when issues occur. Even during disruptions, the system continues reporting trusted position data via A-PNT.

Can RockFLEET Assured be used as an input to an ECDIS system?

Yes. RockFLEET Assured can be configured as an input to an ECDIS or other onboard system, with interface type chosen before shipping. Units supplied with the optional Raymarine Axiom 9 chartplotter use NMEA 2000, while units intended for integration into a customer’s own system use NMEA 0183 over RS422.

RockFLEET Assured is not an IMO-approved primary navigation source, so it is intended for use as a backup, comparison, alerting, or other non-primary input.

What chartplotter options are available with RockFLEET Assured, and how does the system work without one?

RockFLEET Assured offers an optional Raymarine Axiom 9 chartplotter in two formats: a rugged case version for a complete out-of-the-box setup, or a lower cost version without the case using a wiring harness.

If no chartplotter is purchased, the system can still integrate with existing onboard equipment. Depending on the selected build, RockFLEET Assured can output A-PNT and GNSS position data via NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 over RS422. Configuration is handled through the Bluetooth app, which also provides a visual map of both GNSS and A-PNT positions.

For more complete bridge integrations, the Power Hub provides a below-deck junction point for power, protection, and NMEA connectivity.

What is the typical accuracy?

When GNSS/GPS signals are unavailable, vessels can effectively become “blind” from a positioning perspective, with little or no reliable location accuracy available. In these scenarios, A-PNT provides a highly valuable independent positioning capability, typically delivering 25-100 meter accuracy.

While this may not match the precision of GNSS, it represents a dramatic improvement over having no positioning information at all, enabling continued navigation, operational awareness, and resilience in GNSS-denied environments. Performance is generally even better at higher latitudes due to the geometry of the Iridium satellite constellation.
