1. Pick a phone.

2. Choose a phone number from any area.
(You may choose any number from most any location. A person in Afghanistan may wish to have a U.S. based phone number. This allows for the least expensive calling for those in the U.S. that wish to communicate with Afghanistan and visa-versa). |

3. Plug it into the Satellite LAN. |
After your account is provisioned with Ground Control, your phone will have a standard dial tone, a "local" number, and the ability to make and receive phone calls from anyone, even international calls.
Connect as many phones through the satellite link as there is capacity. Each phone uses a 20x20 Kbps stream when in use, so you are are limited by the uplink channel speed. For example, if you have a 1Mbps uplink, you could expect 25 phones easily talking simultaneously.
Phones you provision through Ground Control may be used anywhere, not just over the satellite connection for which they are optimized. Simply connect the phone to any Ethernet port that issues an IP address (DHCP), and our servers will establish a link with the phone and activate for use. This option is perfect for individuals with multiple offices.
$49.95 per month
Our standard monthly plan $49.95 for 1000 minutes (16.6 hours) and then $0.04 (4 cents U.S.) a minute (Based on a U.S. Phone Number calling a U.S. phone). And since you're on our satellite network, these rates are good from anywhere you're calling from, even if your satellite dish/phone happens to be in Afghanistan. International rates are excellent as well!
Voice traffic over satellite does not have the luxury of waiting like data traffic, so it must be prioritized over all other traffic on the link or voice "drop-outs" may occure. This optional service is $80 (USD) per month and we recommend this service if drop-outs occure.
While most wired or wireless SIP phone will work, Ground Control sells and easily provisions the two options below on our service.
