By using BGAN HDR Streaming service (650 Kbps), a 250 Megabyte file is transferred in 50 minutes at the cost of $1,170 USD. Compared with standard pay-per-Megabyte BGAN service, a 250 Megabyte file transfers in about 2 hours 10 minutes for $1,175 USD... Same price, but with BGAN HDR it will take less than half the time in time critical locations.

The Explorer 710 is unlike other portable BGAN terminals in that the antenna may be separated from the transceiver and be mounted on an external pole mount, up to 80 meters away with the optional antenna cable. This setup is ideal for permanent installations where the antenna may need to be located in an awkward location.

Ground Control offers a 710 mounting bracket as well as antenna cables in lengths of 10, 30, 50 and 100 meters. The antenna is rated at IP66, so it can weather any extreme conditions.
