Ground Control offers several ways to control security over your BGAN network connection.
1. Firewall Controls, custom made for each BGAN Sim Card.
2. IPSec VPN over the Internet from HQ to the Inmarsat NOC.
3. Private BGAN Network via a leased line from HQ to the Inmarsat NOC.
4. ISDN Private line, an alternative to leased line private networking.

BGAN Firewall Controls
Included with all Ground Control BGAN Subscriptions. $0 setup and $0 per month
All BGAN accounts with Ground Control have the ability to create traffic rules that limit what goes in and out of the Inmarsat NOC. Setting up a rule can stop all incoming malicious traffic at the NOC, and not charge the account for unwanted data transferring over the satellite network. Comprehensive whitelists and blacklists can be created for individual BGAN Sim Cards and there is no additional cost for setting up this service with Ground Control.

IPSec VPN
$595 setup and $69 per month
Our BGAN VPN solution functions by means of a secure interconnection between your corporate network and the Inmarsat network operation center closest to your location. There are two benefits to this scenario, (1), since the VPN terminates at the NOC, speeds will not see a performance drop over the satellite network, a common problem with VPN over a satellite link. ...and (2), there is no need to configure individual remote equipment with VPN equipment or software. All BGAN traffic is routed at the NOC through the VPN portal to your HQ.
A Private BGAN Network
Please call for pricing
Ground Control can establish a leased line or MPLS connection from the NOC to your HQ. In the latter case, Ground Control can save you the hassle of arranging international connections. Any solution can be discussed, and applications are integrated by a BGAN IT engineering team, to ensure that if you are developing a worldwide network, we will offer you the best and most cost effective solution.
ISDN Private Line
Please call for pricing
Much like a leased line, Ground Control can establish the same connection via a standard ISDN 64Kbps line, which can save on monthly data line expense to the NOC. While slower than a leased line solution, ISDN speeds are consistent because the data line is not shared.
