VSAT satellite dishes are a predictable way of getting your video transmitted and received from anywhere you can raise a satellite dish. From video conferencing to live broadcasting to a CDN (content delivery network) anywhere on the Internet, Ground Control sells the VSAT equipment and service.
Shared services are the standard iDirect plans that have a contention ratio between 10:1 and 20:1, meaning you're sharing your connection with 10 to 20 other customers. The good news is that Ground Control's service delivers consistently fast speeds, and if you purchase a package where you're streaming at 40% of the maximum upload speed, you're fairly safe, although we can not guarantee the data stream stability 100% because the channel is shared.
An unshared service is exactly that... You own the channel for 24 hours and your speeds are absolutely predictable. The catch is that unshared service is much more expensive, hence the reason we sell it in 24 hour blocks instead of by the month.
We recommend anyone interested in streaming video to use our standard shared iDirect plans for normal testing and non-critical video steaming... Then, when a really important event is scheduled, activate the Unshared service for rock solid predictable speeds.

 If you have an event that needs wide Internet distribution for public or private use, we make the process simple. You stream to our CDN and we provide a video player that you may embed on your web page. We offer pay-per-view, or private options and do all of the work ourselves. All you need to be concerned with is the look and feel of the video player on your site.
Costs are $1 per viewer and $450 for every Terabyte (1000 Gigabytes) of information transferred by all viewers. You charge the viewer anything you like. Please call us for costs and a demonstration of this service.
