Short Burst Data Service Plans

Line rental is paid in blocks of one month, and allows the SBD device to exchange information with the Iridium satellite network. You only pay for months in which you wish to use the device. No annual contract is required.

  • Line rental for the RockBLOCK range costs £12.00 ($17.00) per month and includes access to our basic management system for managing your devices
  • For the RockSTAR, RockFLEET and RockAIR devices, line rental costs £17.00 ($24.00) per month, and includes access to our CORE management system, which is much more feature-rich (this is also available as a £5 / $7 upgrade for RockBLOCK users)
  • If you are utilising our hybrid satellite and cellular tracking services, available on the RockFLEET and RockAIR, monthly line rental is £27.00 / $37.00.

Credits are used each time you transmit. One credit is used per 50 bytes (or part thereof) of message sent or received. One credit is also used if you check your mailbox and there are no messages waiting (a mailbox check). Credits only expire if you don’t use your account at all for 12 months. Credits are pooled between all of the devices on your account.

Please note, while our pay-as-you-go tariffs offer great flexibility for development purposes, we know they are not suitable for everyone. If you’re planning a large deployment of devices (100+) and are willing to commit to airtime contracts of 12 months or more, please get in touch. We have access to various tariffs which may suit you better.
