Kinéis Satellite Network

The Kinéis satellite network provides dedicated, ultra-low power satellite connectivity designed specifically for remote IoT applications and low data telemetry.

Operating a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation, Kinéis enables two way communication and asset monitoring in hard to reach locations where terrestrial connectivity is unavailable.

Dryad Wildfire Sensor

Dryad Silvanet Wildfire Sensor

The Dryad Silvanet Wildfire Sensor combines solar-powered air quality monitoring with direct-to-satellite transmission. Leveraging Kinéis satellite connectivity, it delivers real time fire detection alerts and microclimate metrics from dense forest canopies straight to field operators.

Kinéis Coverage

Kinéis provides global satellite coverage designed for low power IoT tracking and remote sensor monitoring. Built on more than 40 years of satellite data collection heritage from the Argos system, the network operates a dedicated constellation of 25 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) nanosatellites positioned across 5 orbital planes at an altitude of 650 km.

This polar orbital configuration delivers consistent connectivity across the globe, including oceans and polar regions. Operating in Low Earth Orbit ensures frequent satellite pass times, minimal transmission latency, and significantly lower terminal power consumption compared to traditional geostationary satellite networks.

Kinéis Network Capabilities

Connecting to the Kinéis network offers distinct technical features for remote monitoring and low power telemetry:

  • Optimized Energy Efficiency: Specialized RF protocols keep idle current under 3 µA, making the network ideal for battery operated and solar-powered endpoints.
  • Integrated Doppler Positioning: Native Doppler geolocation provides position tracking without requiring the additional power draw of a GNSS receiver.
  • Bi-Directional Messaging: Downlink capability enables remote configuration updates, device commands, and acknowledgments alongside uplink telemetry.
