Ground Control’s iDirect service offers second to none performance on a shared system. By utilizing iDirect’s patented Deterministic Time Division Multiple Access (D-TDMA) and Multi Frequency Time Division Multiple Access (MF-TDMA) technologies, automated systems at the NOC ensure that traffic is balanced across all the carriers on the satellite. Not only does this increase the amount of bandwidth on the network, it also increases the security of the network since your traffic is changing it’s frequency up to 8 times per second! iDirect’s payload efficiency is approximately 98% - this is significantly higher than the 60% efficiency offered by similar solutions. Less overhead on the satellite means more bandwidth for you!

From Ku-Band to C-Band, from 2 Watt to 400 Watt cloud busting BUC's, Ground Control has the equipment you require to connect with our global iDirect network. Please review our global Coverage Map to help with selecting a system.
We are happy to have you switch with us as your provider. To confirm the equipment you have will work with our network, please contact Ground Control at 805-783-4600 or email sales@groundcontrol.com
Depending on your location and needs, stationary iDirect service is available on a variety of dish sizes, ranging from 1.2 square meters, to 2.4 square meters. Transmitter size can range between 3 watts and 10 watts. Systems can be mounted using a non penetrating roof mount, or a pole mount. The most popular system is a Ku Band 1.2 square meter dish with a 4 watt transmitter, mounted on a non-penetrating roof mount.
The iDirect mobile service is available on units ranging from .95 square meters to 2.4 square meters and we offer both Ku and C Band systems. The transmitter size (or BUC) can range between 3 watts to 400 watts. Our most common mobile system is the Toughsat XP with a .98 square meter unit with a 4 watt transmitter that is capable using our popular 3MB down and 1MB up service package. We also offer a 1.8 Meter Vehicle mounted mobile C-Band dish for locations serviced by C-Band. Also consider the TripleA Semi-Mobile system that is available with a 2.4Meter dish.

The 3100 Series Satellite Router is a star-topology remote satellite router designed as an easy-to-deploy solution integrating a satellite modem, IP router, TCP acceleration and advanced QoS and prioritization capabilities. The 3000 Series Satellite Routers support IP data rates up to 18 Mbps downstream and up to 5 Mbps upstream. Close-up of back of router

Depending on which satellite beam you wish to connect to, will determine the kind of satellite dish that needs to be installed. Ku-Band transmits between 12 to 18GHz and normally requires a smaller dish than C-Band systems. C-Band transmits 3.7 to 6.5 Ghz normally uses a 1.8Meter for connection in most regions.
