Life at sea mirrors more and more the everyday life ashore when it comes to communication. Why settle for less on sea than at home? Now you can look after your business in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean. For the first time in history it is possible to get affordable IP communication on board.

The Sailor Fleet Broadband 250 (shown
above) ships complete with one standard IP phone and all necessary cabling. |
Fleet Broadband emulates terrestrial networks by creating a simple Local Area Network (LAN). Simply connect one or more computers (or TCP-IP capable devices) via Ethernet, and as long as the unit is turned on, you are online.
You are only charged on the data you transfer, and not on a per-minute basis as with other maritime data service providers.
 |
Seamless Worldwide
Coverage
Besides the poles, Fleet Broadband coverage is world-wide. Moving from any of three satellite beams requires no user interaction or interruption of service.

If you're not in the open ocean, consider using an in-Motion BGAN system instead of FleetBroadband. Usage costs are billed on BGAN rates and not the more expensive Fleet Broadband rates. |
If you choose, this compact antenna can be moved
from one vessel to another without problem. There is no paperwork
outside of purchasing this system. The FB150 and FB250 are small enough
to be placed in a suitcase and used while on land.
