Making an International call using a BGAN Inmarsat Telephone
All calls made from the BGAN phone are considered "International" calls. If you've never done it before, making these calls can be a bit confusing. This web page was created to give you the answers to make phone calls anywhere.

Every BGAN systems is assigned a 9 digit telephone number. Many BGAN systems that support faxing are also assigned a 9 digit fax number. These numbers are unique and can be called from any phone on the planet. If you do not know what your BGAN phone numbers are, please contact Ground Control.

Making a voice call/fax FROM A BGAN phone/fax

Calling from BGAN phone into the United States:
Dial 00 then the Country Code (1 for the U.S) then the phone or fax number with area code.
Example: 00 1 818 532-3150 (where 818 is an area code in the U.S.)

Calling into another country:
Dial 00 then the country code then the phone or fax number. To locate the country code that you are calling into, please visit:

Making a voice call/fax TO A BGAN phone/fax

Calling a BGAN Phone/fax from the United States:
Dial 011 870 then the 9 digit BGAN phone or fax number. Note that 870 is the Country Code for all Inmarsat BGAN phones.
Example: 011 870 772520732

Calling a BGAN phone/fax from outside the United States:
Follow standard procedures for placing an international call using 870 as the Country Code you are calling from.

An Excellent Tool to use for all calls

A handy website for finding the exact number you need to call can be found at www.countrycallingcodes.com ... On this web page, select the country you are calling from, and INMARSAT as the country you are calling to (If you are calling into a BGAN Inmarsat phone of course). Next, click on the “Submit” button. On the screen that appears next, choose the pull down window labeled “City Info…” and choose SNAC. This will show you the number you need to dial to reach any BGAN phone from that country.
